Heading into the spring signing period, which begins on Wednesday, there are still a few top unsigned players in the state of Kentucky.
Let’s begin with the girls’ and the top players yet to pick a college:
• 1. LeAsia Wright, 5-7, G, Manual (photo) - She’s one of the top college prospects in the state and is getting a lot of attention, including Western Kentucky University. Wright has a chance to sign somewhere and help right away. New WKU coach Michelle Clark-Heard has made Wright a priority.
• 2. Kendall Noble, 5-11, G, Perry County Central - A two-time first-team All-State selection, Noble would have been scooped up last fall had she not suffered a knee injury. She made an appearance in six straight Sweet 16s and is a player.
• 3. Sarah Martin, 6-1, C, Daviess County – Martin was one of the top players in Western Kentucky and under the radar a bit as far as colleges.
• 4. Caylan Bybee, 6-1, C, Monroe County - In a year when there isn’t a lot of depth among post players in the state, Bybee was the Fourth Region Player of the Year and would be a big-time sleeper for some college. Word is she’s not playing ball in college.
